Mack wrapped up the meeting at around 9 a.m. after a quick question and answer session.
Mack said he felt it was important that he spoke to the club today so he could voice his concerns about the economy and where the nation currently stands.
“He’s been doing meetings like this for five years,” said Mack’s chief of staff Jeff Cohen. “I think it’s clear he’s part of the community and has a great report with the community.”
Rotarian Amy Rouskey said she found the meeting to be an interesting experience.
“I think it’s good to hear his thoughts, especially if we’re going to be voting for him in November,” she said.
“He did a good job explaining his positions and his ideas,” said Rotarian Frank Romano. “I don’t disagree with him being against the ($700 billion bailout bill) but I think they have to come up with something else.”
“He represents my point of view,” said Rotarian Bob Miller. “Less government. And, I believe that by passing the ($700-billion bailout) bill we have come one step closer to becoming a Socialist country.”
