Mack Endorses Thrasher as RPOF Chair

Urges Florida Republican Congressional Delegation to support Thrasher

FORT MYERS, FL - Congressman Connie Mack (FL-14) today endorsed Senator John Thrasher as the new Chairman of the Republican Party of Florida and sent a letter to his Republican Congressional colleagues urging them to do the same. Mack cited Thrasher as conservative, dedicated, and principled leader that the RPOF needs heading into the 2010 elections.

The text of Mack’s letter follows:

Dear Representative:

At this important time in our state’s and nation’s history, it is critical that we have principled leadership of the Republican Party of Florida. Senator John Thrasher is exactly the leader we need, and one who can unite Florida Republicans to lead us to victory in the 2010 elections. I strongly endorse John and urge you to join me in supporting him to be the next Chairman of the Republican Party of Florida.

John has a proven record of championing limited government and more freedom and can help Republicans come together to turn back this wave of Big Government the Democrats are pushing on the nation. As we all know, from national security, to the handling of our economy, to multiple foreign policy blunders and missteps, we have witnessed the Democrats fail to protect our national interests. Instead, they have ushered in a new era of more taxes, more spending, more government, and less freedom.

We must work together to ensure that in the 2010 elections, Republicans all across Florida have a resounding win. John is a demonstrated fundraiser and has worked closely with many grassroots groups to make our party stronger while expanding the field of races where Republicans can and will win in November.

John is the conservative, dedicated, and principled leader the Republican Party of Florida needs at this critical juncture. Please contact me and let’s work together to ensure that Senator John Thrasher is the next Chairman of the Republican Party of Florida.

Sincerely,

CONNIE MACK
Member of Congress
