“Reports today indicate that the Newfoundland Premier in Canada, Danny Williams, does not believe he can receive adequate care under Canada’s nationalized health system and is coming to the United States for heart surgery later this week.
“If a Canadian official doesn’t even want to use his own country’s poor health care system, why should we enact something like that here in the United States ?
“For nearly a year, the American people have spoken loud and clear that they do not support a government takeover of health care. They want the freedom to make their own health care choices with their doctors – and without the meddling hand of government bureaucrats and politicians.
“President Obama and the Democratic Leadership in Congress should scrap the House and Senate health care bills once and for all and instead look to free-market solutions to make health care more affordable and accessible for all Americans.”

Dear Mr. President:
I have attached a letter that I received today which indicates that the Newfoundland Premier Danny Williams is coming to the United States for heart surgery later this week.
The Canadian health care system is a failure. And the plan to model our system after the Canadian system is wrong.
If the Canadian Premier does not have confidence in the government-run health care system, why should the American people? Mr. President, it is time to start over and reject government-run health care.
Respectfully,
CONNIE MACK
